Position: L3 Datacenter Network Engineer
Location:Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh
We're seeking a seasoned Data Center Network Engineer L3 to join our growing IT team! In this critical role, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing our data center network infrastructure.
You'll leverage your in-depth knowledge of networking technologies to ensure our data center operates with exceptional reliability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation:Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and secure data center networks, utilizing advanced routing and switching protocols.
Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge networking technologies (SDN, micro segmentation) to enhance data center efficiency and agility.
Collaborate effectively with other IT infrastructure teams to define solutions that align with business objectives.
Participate in solution calls, providing optimal network design and Bill of Materials (BOM) based on customer requirements.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of complex network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth network operation.
Manage and optimize data center network configurations, including switches, routers, firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection, and load balancers.
Proactively monitor network performance metrics, identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks to maintain optimal network health.
Implement and enforce stringent network security policies and best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
Lead and manage network infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle, encompassing planning, design, and implementation phases.
Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for equipment procurement, installation, and ongoing support.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
For management review, generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and project progress.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and network failover strategies for business continuity.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's degree is a plus).
Industry-recognized network certifications (CCNP Routing & Switching, JNCIE-SP, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years focused on data center and cloud environments.
Proven experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar high-performance data center networking equipment.
In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP), VLANs, VPNs, and network security principles.
Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting) is a strong plus.
Expertise in data center network architecture, including spine-leaf topologies and Software-Defined Networking (SDN).
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
