• Position : Purchase Executive – Data Center & Cloud Industry

• Experience : 4-6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in IT infrastructure, Data Center, or Cloud industry.

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring IT and infrastructure-related products and services specific to the Data Center and Cloud industry. The role involves vendor management, cost optimization, contract handling, and ensuring timely delivery of equipment and services to support mission-critical operations.

• Procurement Operations:

  • Source and procure hardware (servers, storage, network equipment), software licenses, and cloud service contracts.

  • Manage procurement of facility-related items such as power, cooling systems, cabling, racks, etc.

  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and industry regulations.

• Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and OEMs.

  • Maintain strong relationships and evaluate vendor performance periodically.

  • Conduct price benchmarking and ensure competitive pricing.

• Negotiation & Contracts:

  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors and service providers.

  • Review and administer purchase contracts, SLAs, and NDAs.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier invoices, and payment terms.

  • Prepare regular procurement reports and cost analysis for management.

• Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

  • Ensure procurement activities adhere to internal audit requirements and external compliance standards (ISO, Uptime Institute, etc.).

  • Mitigate supply chain risks related to lead times, delivery issues, or vendor reliability.

• Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, operations, and finance teams to forecast and plan procurement needs.

  • Support in project-based procurement for data center buildouts or cloud migrations.

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IT and data center components (servers, storage, networking, UPS, etc.)

  • Familiarity with procurement software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Zoho, etc.)

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

• Experience working with colocation vendors, hyperscale cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), or enterprise data center vendors.

• Understanding of global sourcing and import/export regulations (especially for IT hardware).
