Position: General Manager – Data Center Sales

We are seeking a high-caliber, aggressive, and deeply networked enterprise infrastructure sales leader for the role of General Manager – Data Center Sales. This is a Senior Individual Contributor (IC) role with national jurisdiction, based strategically out of Mumbai.
As a national IC, your sole focus will be to hunt, cultivate, and close high-value wholesale and retail colocation deals across India. The ideal candidate will leverage existing C-suite relationships across Global Enterprises operating in India, Large Enterprise BFSI clients, and Major Tech Platforms, to independently drive exponential physical capacity and revenue growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive Large-Scale Deals: Identify, pursue, and close multi-megawatt (MW) wholesale data center requirements, core/shell space, and high-density retail colocation deals across India.
Pipeline Management: Independently own the end-to-end sales lifecycle—from initial market mapping and prospecting, complex commercial negotiations, SLA structuring, and final closure.
National Territory Exploitation: While based in Mumbai, proactively manage and capture infrastructure opportunities across other major Indian digital hubs (Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune & Chennai).
C-Suite Engagement: Act as the primary trusted advisor to CXOs, Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), and Infrastructure Heads within the BFSI, IT/ITeS, Large Enterprise, and Government/PSU sectors.
Strategic Alliances: Capitalize on deep connections with global enterprises and content providers to align our modular, scalable physical infrastructure with their rapid capacity and footprint expansion plans.
Consultative Infrastructure Selling: Partner closely with internal Facilities Engineering, Power/Cooling Specialists, Project Delivery, and Legal teams to engineer custom, secure physical space and power solutions.
Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all proposed colocation solutions align seamlessly with Indian data residency mandates, physical security standards, and sovereign data privacy frameworks like the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
RFP & Bid Management: Lead high-stakes commercial modelling and response strategies for multi-million dollar corporate and public sector RFPs/RFIs for dedicated data center floor space and power.
Experience: 10 to 12 years of institutional B2B infrastructure sales experience, with 5 to 7 years dedicated exclusively to Data Center Colocation, Wholesale Capacity, or Physical Real Estate/Infrastructure sales.
Proven IC Track Record: Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed aggressive individual revenue and MW quotas (multi-megawatt targets annually) without relying on a direct reporting team.
Industry Network: An active, highly referenceable network among Large Global Enterprises, Over-The-Top (OTT) Media Networks, Global System Integrators (GSIs), and the BFSI sector in India.
Domain Expertise: Strong grasp of core data center metrics (PUE, critical IT load, tier classifications, SLA boundaries), power & cooling architectures, and modular scaling benefits.
Location & Travel: Based permanently in Mumbai, with a willingness to travel extensively across national tech hubs to drive key closures.
